Deer

A common site in the back yard here, Deer! In fact, we see them routinely everywhere we go and at all hours. The first night we were here, we walked to a local restaurant down the hill from us (great food by the way). On the way we nearly walked up to a deer in one of our neighbour’s yard. These fellows are not at all shy. With hunting season is in full swing right now, so you’d think they’d be scarce but they don't seem to be. Nearly every time we go by the local “good-ol-boy” meat shop someone is skinning a deer in the yard. We stop at the shop to buy “screaming” fresh fish, mussels and yummy smoked mackerel.
